Boredom breeds creativity if you are willing to lean in. At Cobbled&Graved, my love for whittling sparked a journey into crafting these unique, tiny creations. What began as a hobby has evolved into a passion, crafting items that bring joy and wonder to any space. With every piece, I embrace a chaotically beautiful process, ensuring each fairy house and vintage-inspired item is truly one of a kind. No two are ever the same.
The journey of creation: From nature to whimsy
My creative process begins with a sturdy, hand-picked stick, cut into two-by-one inch sections. Using a Dremel and wood carving tools, I whittle each piece, allowing its natural form to guide the structure. Some pieces are rough, some smooth, and some feature unique imperfections that inspire the final design. From there, the experimentation begins: bark, an acorn hat, moss in the crevices? Perhaps a mini gem for a door or an attached deck? Each item truly creates itself, resulting in a unique expression of natural artistry.
