Our craft, naturally sourced

At Cobbled&Graved, every creation begins with a journey into nature. We believe in crafting beauty responsibly, gathering our materials with respect for the environment and a commitment to sustainability. Discover the unique origins of our handcrafted wooden fairy houses and vintage whimsy.

Foraged from nature's bounty

Our miniature fairy houses are born from the earth itself. We meticulously select sustainable materials during our hikes, ensuring each piece tells a story of the forest. You'll find fallen pine wood, soft mosses, sturdy walnut shells, and delicate acorns, all carefully chosen to become part of your unique creation. The only non-natural components you'll find are the secure superglue and the shimmering, ethically sourced crystal gems that add a touch of magic.

Respectful and sustainable sourcing

Our commitment to nature goes beyond simply collecting materials. We adhere to strict ethical guidelines to ensure our foraging practices are sustainable and respectful. All wood is sourced from storm-felled trees or dead and fallen timber. Mosses and bark are gathered from dead trees or from living units in sustainable quantities, always ensuring the ecosystem remains undisturbed. Acorns, nuts, and other decorative elements are picked up from the forest floor, never taken from an area with endangered species, or from vital wild food sources. This careful approach ensures each piece of your fairy house supports the health of our natural world.

Magical touches: Ethically sourced crystals

To enhance the enchantment of our fairy houses, we sometimes incorporate unique and special materials. Among these are our crystal gems, which can be either raw or beautifully tumbled. These precious stones are never foraged but are carefully purchased from ethical suppliers who guarantee both quality and responsible sourcing. This ensures that every sparkling detail not only adds to the whimsical charm of your fairy house but also aligns with our values of integrity and ethical practices.
