Walnut Barn

$20.00

Among the architectural gems in Cobbles Grove is the Walnut Barn.

This unique structure is home to a variety of wild creatures dubbed "Mimic Bears", that bear a striking resemblance to those from "Where the Wild Things Are"—though they're much smaller and far less sociable.

Each night, the townspeople (all four of them) dedicate hours to carefully training these nocturnal creatures, hoping that one day they can be used for farm work. After training, sometimes in the early sunrise hours, the townspeople like to crawl up to the soft, mossy roof and decompress under the beautiful walnut canopy.

In recent years, the townspeople have also established a festival celebrating the Mimic Bears, in the hopes that flattery may eventually win their loyalty and trust. This autumn event features bonfire storytelling sessions and honeycakes, where tales of the creatures' antics are shared with folks from neighboring towns.
